Great food for thought. I’m not sure how I feel about “dumbing down” the language so white folks will get on board (that’s in quotes bc I can’t think of a better way to say it).

I also think it’s important to get past the first sentence in a conversation, which is often prevented when using “white privilege.” I’ve learned to start the conversation at the macro level so people understand the patterns, then it’s hard to deny their privilege. But sometimes there isn’t time for all that in the conversation! This is a tough one.
